Red Nacional de Ferrocarriles Españoles (Renfe)
The Spanish rail company RENFE provides passenger and goods transportation services in all of Spain. Several rail connections enable a variety of routes throughout the country. The neighbouring countries of Portugal and France, and indeed all of the EU Member States, have rail connections to Madrid.
AVE High-speed train
The city of Madrid is connected to ten Spanish cities by RENFE’s star product, the AVE high-speed train. There are currently six lines providing this service: five AVE trains as such, plus one TALGO train that connects Madrid and Malaga.

The AVE service currently operates from Madrid to Seville, Lleida and Huesca and stops at Ciudad Real, Puertollano, Córdoba, Guadalajara, Calatayud and Zaragoza. The quality of this service is excellent.
