The Art Trail is a unique route that takes in painting, sculpture, architecture and nature in one of Madrid’s most emblematic districts, the Paseo del Prado. Best enjoyed on foot, this area is home to three of the world’s most important art museums: the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofía Modern Art Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Gallery.

And so, some of the world’s greatest masterpieces, like Velázquez’s Las Meninas, Goya’s Las Majas, Ghirlandaio’s Giovanna Tornabuoni, Van Gogh’s Les Vessenots en auvers and Picasso’s Guernica, are all within a few short feet of one another. 

The "Golden Triangle", encompassing art and the best Madrid has to offer, is currently one of the city’s most traditional walks.
