All our students (if their stay is longer than 2 weeks) receive a TANDEM-Partner.
 Students interested in this language exchange opportunity should request a TANDEM form upon arrival (or download it here), and then turn in the completed form to the secretary.
In a few days we will put the student in contact with a Spanish person who is learning the student's native language and who will be selected compatible with the student's interests that habe been described on the form.
TANDEM Partners are introduced to each other by staff at the school.
Afterwards the partners meet as often as they want to (normally twice a week) after school, and take turns speaking half the time in one language and the other half of the time in the other.
The Tandem Language Exchange guarantees real contact with the "Spanish way of life" and the possibility of applying what has been learned in class to real-life communication.
Golden Rules for making the tandem effective
- Speak only one language in each phase.
- Spend the same amount of time on each language.
- Try to teach as much as you´d like to be taught.
