Program Overview
Academic Semester
This program is designed for students with an advanced or superior level before arrival and who wish to improve their Spanish in an academic context during the time of one semester. The combined academic semester includes an intensive language preparation at TANDEM which means 4/5 weeks of intensive course during the month of January or September and cultural program.
This is followed by an academic semester on the Toledo Campus of the University of Castilla- La Mancha with 24 credits to choose from among different classes, 65 hours of tutorials, assessment and cultural programme.
Academic Year
This program is designed for students with an intermediate or basic Spanish level at the beginning of their courses and who wish to improve during a whole year. The combined academic year consists of a semester at TANDEM, Escuela Internacional and a second semester at UCLM.
The first academic semester at TANDEM includes 320 lessons (240 language lessons and 80 hours of elective courses with 15 credits) plus a second academic semester at the Toledo Campus of the University of Castilla - La Mancha, with 24 credits to choose from among different classes offered by the various departments on campus, as well as 65 hours of tutorials and conversation classes, assessment, and cultural programme. This includes registration for an on-line Spanish course offered by the Instituto Cervantes, so that students can prepare even before arrival.
