I had a great time at TANDEM in Madrid. I had amazing teachers who had a huge impact on me and what I want to do when I graduate. This program has been an amazing experience for me and has convinced me to study abroad as often as I can! Thanks for everything! Rollins student What mostly surprised me at Tandem was the first contact with the school. They replied immediately to my email. From the beginning I had a good feeling about them. I received very professional help and all my questions were answered directly. The second surprise was already awaiting me in Madrid - the location of the school... Amazing! - next to the Thyssen Museum, with the beautiful Retiro Park very nearby. And the teachers... funny, nice, relaxed but at the same time very professional. I stayed at Tandem for three weeks and can't wait to come back to improve my Spanish and enjoy Madrid! Maja, Summer Program American University of Paris The Spanish Classes were wonderful! The teachers were so nice and very patient! I spoke an amazing amount during the classes at TANDEM. Thanks to the teachers for creating that environment- I´m very proud of it! Rollins Student Caitlin arrived safely Saturday afternoon. Her father and I believe that this was a trip of a lifetime. She came off the plane wearing her school t-shirt, smiling so proudly. We believe Caitlin has grown up and matured over the last three weeks while at TANDEM in Spain. She has shared her adventures, stories and regrets of not being able to do everything she wanted to do during her visit, time ran out. Three weeks was a long time for her to be gone but she knew she had not discovered all that Spain had to offer in those three weeks. She has talked non-stop since her return to family and friends. It seems she has lots of interesting stories to share with us. She really appreciated all the hospitality that everyone gave her and the time she spent getting to know new people. Please let the host family know that we appreciate everything that they did for her and she really enjoyed her stay with them. Thank you so much for her adventure and opportunity. We know that this will be an ever lasting memory for her. Thank you so much for your support and efforts in making this trip wonderful and safe for our daughter. With the education seminar we have different professors every few days so we´ve gotten to know quite a few people here. We´re learning a lot in that class, too. It´s very helpful and practical information for teaching Spanish. Monica, Education Semester I have felt very integrated with my host family since the beginning. They have always been very good at including me in whatever is going on. I have felt very comfortable around all the members of the family. We eat meals together and sit and talk to me. Katie, Spring Academic Semester I am enjoying my time abroad studying in Spain. The director and professors at Tandem are approachable and easy to talk to. I feel comfortable here knowing I can go to anyone if I have a problem. The teachers are helpful when I don't understand and they always want to make sure I know what is going on. The school is very well organized with classes, cultural events, and housing arrangements. I enjoy the cultural events they offer and my housing arrangement is phenomenal. My senora is extremely nice and always willing to help or answer questions. I feel very comfortable here and love talking with the family members. Rollins student My experience at Tandem in regards to classes and professors was an extremely positive one: my classes were always small and intimate which allowed for a comfortable and effective learning environment. My professor never left out the personal touch and their sense of humour in my classes, which was an excellent tool to help catalyse my learning experience and make it the most helpful one I've ever been through.
